| Fiber College on Penobscot Bay | Sept 9 - 12 | Fiber College Knit, spin, embroider, weave, tat & dye. Fiber College on Penobscot Bay offers classes, shopping, demonstrations and fun in a
relaxed, campground atmosphere. Come with old friends and make new ones while you walk the beach, attend

| Common Ground Country Fair | Sept 24 - 26 | The Fleece Tent at Common Ground Fair: Showcasing the Best of Maine Fiber MOFGA's 34th Common Ground Country Fair, Sept. 24-26, 2010 Celebrate rural living at the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association's 34th annual Common Ground Country Fair in Unity, Maine, Fri.-Sun., Sept. 24, 25, and 26, 2010. Not to be missed by fiber lovers is the Fleece Tent, showcasing the best of Maine-grown wool and specialty fibers. Sale ongoing all three days, 9:00-6:00, Friday and Saturday, and 9:00-5:00, Sunday. There will also be informal fiber talks and demonstrations. Fleece judging is Saturday, starting at 10:00. Be sure, also, to visit the Wednesday Spinners and the Fiber Marketplace, both adjacent to the Fleece Tent; the booths in the Maine Fiber Farms area; and the many fiber businesses in the Maine Ag Booths area. Everyone is invited to an open spin with the Wednesday Spinners on Sunday, Sept. 26, 10:00-4:00. Please join us! | Maritime Spinners Retreat | Oct 22 & 24 | You are invited to join the Maritime Spinners Retreat in Prince Edward Island! This is a low key relaxing time to spin, knit or partake in other fibery pursuits while visiting with our neighbours from the north! The event will be held at the Rodd Mill River Resort. There will be mini workshops, if you want, but most of all lots of spinning, fun and laughter! Details as of June! |
